Main Fields of Activity

Development of efficient drugs for the treatment of cardio-vascular, neuro-psychic and infectious diseases, malignant tumours as well as for use in surgical practice. Among developed and certificated pharmaceutical products are: DITILIN (muscular relaxant), GANGRELON (for treatment of gastro-duodenal ulcers and stenocardia), SUBECHOLINE (respiratory stimulant), ARPENAL (bronchial asthma, gastro-duodenal ulcers and Parkinsonism), QUATERON (stenocardia, gastro-duodenal ulcers and hypertension), MESPHENAL (hyperhidrosis, gastro-duodenal, bronchial asthma), Fubromegan (peptic and duodenal ulcers, bronchial asthma), NALECIN (typhoid fever, dysentry, etc.), ESPENAL (stenocardia, bronchial asthma, etc.), PUPHEMID (epilepsy of various etiology), TIODINE (radiculitis, neuritis, polyneuritis).

The National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (NAS RA) declare about annual competition "ACADEMIA" for young scientists (till 35 years). Competition appears in area of "Biology" for scientific works.

On 24-31 August, 2013, the Institute of Mathemathics NAS RA, Yerevan State University, State Engineering University of Armenia, American University of Armenia, Russian- Armenian (Slavonic) University organize The Second International Conference ''Mathematics in Armenia: Advances and Perspectives'' (Tsakhkadzor, Armenia).The Conference is dedicated to the 70-th anniversary of the NAS of Armenia. On 26-29 August, 2013, Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory of NAS RA organizes Colloquium on "Non-stable objects" dedicated to the 90-th anniversary of academician L.V.Mirzoyan (Byurakan).
