Կյանքից հեռացավ ՀՀ գիտության վաստակավոր գործիչ, ԳԱԱ թղթակից անդամ, ԳԱԱ մոլեկուլային ինստիտուտի մոլեկուլային էնզիմաբանության լաբորատորիայի վարիչ պրոֆ. Ժան Հակոբյանը

    Հայաստանի Հանրապետության Գիտությունների ազգային ակադեմիայի նախագահությունը և բնական գիտությունների բաժանմունքը խորապես վշտացած են ՀՀ գիտության վաստակավոր գործիչ, ՀՀ ԳԱԱ թղթ. անդամ, վաստակաշատ գիտնական Ժան Իշխանի Հակոբյանի մահվան կապակցությամբ:
    Նրա աշխատանքային գործունեության մեծ մասը կապված է ՀՀ ԳԱԱ Մոլեկուլային կենսաբանության ինստիտուտի հետ, որի տնօրենն է եղել  երկար տարիներ՝ համատեղելով  Մոլեկուլային էնզիմաբանության լաբորատորիայի վարիչի պաշտոնի հետ: Աշխատել է  ՍՍՀՄ ԳԱ Կենսաբանական և բժշկական քիմիայի ինստիտուտում, Լոնդոնի Շառլոտա թագուհու հոսպիտալում: Երկար տարիներ ղեկավարել է ՀՀ ԳԱԱ Միջազգային գիտակրթական կենտրոնը և ՀՀ մանրէաբանության ինստիտուտը, հանդիսացել է §Հայկենսատեխնոլոգիա¦ ԳԱԿ-ի խորհրդական: Մեծ է նրա ավանդը էներգետիկ մեթաբոլիզմի առանցքային ֆերմենտների, տրանսգեն կենդանիների ուսումնասիրությունների, գյուղատնտեսական պատրաստուկների ստեղծման ու դրանց գործնական կիրառման բնագավառներում: Ուշադրության են արժանի նրա կողմից «Իմունոմոդուլյատոր» հակավիրուսային պատրաստուկի մշակման աշխատանքները՝ ամրագրված հեղինակային իրավունքով, արտոնագրերով և ՀՀ Գյուղատնտեսության նախարարության կողմից տրված հավաստագրերով:

    Բացի գիտական գործունեությունից, որն արտացոլված է 250-ից ավելի գիտական աշխատանքներում, նա հանդիսանում էր մի շարք գիտական խորհուրդների, ամսագրերի խմբագրական կոլեգիաների անդամ, ղեկավարում էր արտասահմանյան գիտակիրառական մշակումներ, նախագծեր և պայմանագրեր: 
Ընտրվել է Հայաստանի ճարտարագիտական, Նյու-Յորքի, Միացյալ Եվրոպական, Փարիզի «Արարատ» միջազգային ակադեմիաների անդամ:
    Դասավանդել է Երևանի պետական և Մ. Հերացու անվան պետական բժշկական, Մոսկվայի Պատրիս Լումումբայի համալսարաններում:
    Ժ. Հակոբյանի գործունեության վաստակն է կենսատեխնոլոգիայի, մոլեկուլային էնզիմաբանության, կիրառական և տեսական անասնաբուժության բնագավառներում բարձր որակավորմամբ մասնագետների պատրաստումը: Նրա ղեկավարությամբ պաշտպանվել է 21 թեկնածուական ատենախոսություն:
    
    Մեր խորին ցավակցությունը և զորակցությունն ենք հայտնում հանգուցյալի հարազատներին ու մերձավորներին՝ անդառնալի կորստի համար: ՀՀ ԳԱԱ թղթ. անդամ Ժան Հակոբյանի պայծառ հիշատակը միշտ կմնա նրա գործընկերների և սաների սրտերում:

From October 16 to 18, 2025, the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia will held the International conference "Dieportation and Memory: The Ongoing Crisis of Artsakh in Oral Histories". The opening will take place on October 16 at 10:00 a.m. in the Round Hall of the Presidium of NAS RA (Marshal Baghramyan 24)

On October 17, 2025, the international scientific conference "15 Years of Biotechnology Development: Achievements and Prospects", dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the "Armbiotechnology" Scientific-Production Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia will take place at the "Armbiotechnologia" NPC of the National Academy of Sciences of RA

On October 17-18, 2025, the NAS RA, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of RA, the International Scientific and Educational Center of NAS RA will organize a "National Sciences, Mathematics, Technology, and Computer Science in the 21st Century: problems and solutions in the field of popularization and education" 8th Pan-Armenian Conference at the National Academy of Sciences of RA

From October 23 to 25, 2025, the the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia will hеld the International conference "Fortresses and Defensive Systems in the Ancient Near East". The opening will take place on October 23 at 11:00 a.m. in the Round Hall of the Presidium of NAS RA (24, Marshal Baghramyan Avenue)

On October 24, 2025, the book presentation with the title "Tigranakert of Artsakh: The Historical and Cultural Image in the Light of Archaeological Research" (Yerevan, Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography Press, 2025) will take place at the Round Hall of the Presidium of the NAS RA (24, Marshal Baghramyan Avenue) at 11:00 a.m.

The process of allocating full-time and part-time PhD admission slots for the 2026–2027 academic year has commenced. The deadline for application submission is October 20, 2025, at 18:00 (via Higher Education and Science Committee system: grants.hesc.am)

On October 22-25, 2025, The Institute of Literature after M. Abeghyan of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, The Division of Armenology and Social Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, The Institute of World Literature after A.M. Gorky of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Mekhitarist Congregation, Yerevan State University, House-Museum of Avetik Isahakian, The Fundamental Scientific Library of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, invite to participate in the jubilee international conference dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Avetik Isahakyan's birth
