ՀՀ ԳԱԱ նախագահը շնորհավորել է ՀՀ ԳԱԱ արտասահմանյան անդամ, Դենհամի պրոֆեսոր, լորդ Արա Դարզիին Բրիտանական գիտության ասոցիացիայի (BSA) նախագահությունը ստանձնելու կապակցությամբ

    ՀՀ գիտությունների ազգային ակադեմիայի նախագահ ակադեմիկոս Ռադիկ Մարտիրոսյանը շնորհավորական նամակ է հղել ՀՀ ԳԱԱ արտասահմանյան անդամ, Դենհամի պրոֆեսոր, լորդ Արա Դարզիին Բրիտանական գիտության ասոցիացիայի (BSA) նախագահությունը 2020-ի սեպտեմբերի 1-ից մեկ տարով ստանձնելու կապակցությամբ:

    «Հարգելի պրոֆեսոր Արա Դարզի,Մեծ  ուրախությամբ տեղեկացանք Ձեր՝ Բրիտանական գիտության ասոցիացիայի նախագահի պաշտոնում նշանակվելու մասին: Ընդունեք մեր ջերմ շնորհավորանքներն այդ առթիվ: Հուսով ենք, որ Ձեր նշանակումը կամրապնդի մեր կապերը և մեր գիտական համագործակցությունը կբարձրացնի նոր մակարդակի: Մաղթում ենք Ձեզ հաջողություններ այսօր և միշտ»: 

    Ի արձագանք ՀՀ ԳԱԱ նախագահի շնորհավորանքի՝ պրոֆեսոր Արա Դարզին պատասխան նամակում գրել է. 

    «Ես շատ ուրախ եմ եկող տարի ստանձնելու  Բրիտանական գիտության ասոցիացիայի նախագահությունը և համակարծիք եմ Ձեզ հետ, որ այս նշանակումը կօգնի հետագայում ամրապնդելու մեր հարաբերությունները»:

    Արա Վարդգես Դարզին ծնվել է 1960թ. Իրաքի Բաղդադ քաղաքում՝ 1915 թվականի Հայոց ցեղասպանությունից փրկված հայ ծնողների ընտանիքում: Նա աշխարհի առաջատար վիրաբույժներից է։ Լոնդոնի Կայսերական քոլեջի նրա ղեկավարած ամբիոնը զբաղվում է ռոբոտացված վիրաբուժությամբ։Պրոֆեսորը Դարզին Լոնդոնի Կայսերական քոլեջի Գլոբալ առողջության նորարարության ինստիտուտի տնօրենն է, քոլեջի Փոլ Համլինի վիրաբուժության ամբիոնի և Քաղցկեղի հետազոտության ինստիտուտի ղեկավարը։ Արա Դարզին նաև խորհրդատու վիրաբույժ է Imperial College հոսպիտալում, Royal Marsden-ում։ Պրոֆեսոր Դարզին վիրաբուժությունում ռոբոտների և տեխնոլոգիաների կիրառման հեղինակ է։
