On November 13 of this year, the Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the NAS RA, Gohar Iskandaryan, the Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Alikber Alikberov, and the Director of the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Irina Popova, signed cooperation contracts.

The parties will cooperate in the fields of science and education, jointly carrying out scientific research, programs, the training of highly qualified specialists, and the preparation of textbooks, monographs, and articles in Armenia, Russia, and abroad.

In particular, the contracts provide for:

• exchange of scientific publications, literature, and periodicals
• joint organization of international conferences, seminars, symposia, and round tables
• joint preparation and publication of scientific works, studies, articles, and monographs
• implementation of joint scientific expeditions
• participation in joint grant programs

The signed documents reaffirm the readiness of the scientific centers of both countries to develop and expand long-term cooperation with the aim of strengthening international scientific ties, and they also ensure the further development of scientific relations between the parties, deepening Armenian-Russian academic cooperation.
