2. Project description

The purpose of this project is to develop a centralized and automated hydrological monitoring system for RA, including its concept, methodological and technical components and computer software.
The system will allow to automate and, expand as necessary the hydrological monitoring network of the Republic of Armenia with much lower costs than requires the introduction of a similar foreign system.

5. Project overall cost (USD) 100.000
6. Required investments (USD) 50.000
7. Own funds (USD) 50.000 (Already invested. The authors of the project developed a similar system for real time monitoring of landslides, which is used in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.)

  • Development of a methodology for analyzing and using of monitoring data - USD 10.000.
  • Development of computer program for monitoring system (adaptation to water quantity monitoring) and its testing - USD 25.000.
  • Installation of devices for automated water quantity measurement and data transfer at the pilot sites and implementation of trial measurements – USD 15.000.
12. Offer to investor

To consider the possibility of full automation of the hydrological monitoring network of the Hydromet Service under the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia. The potential location of the monitoring posts should be discussed with the Hydromet Service, the Agency for Water Resources Management of the Ministry of Nature Protection of RA and with other interested agencies.

The opening will take place on October 23 at 11:00 a.m. in the Round Hall of the Presidium of NAS RA (24, Marshal Baghramyan Avenue)

On October 24, 2025, the book presentation with the title "Tigranakert of Artsakh: The Historical and Cultural Image in the Light of Archaeological Research" (Yerevan, Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography Press, 2025) will take place at the Round Hall of the Presidium of the NAS RA (24, Marshal Baghramyan Avenue) at 11:00 a.m.

In October 28, 2025, an informational meeting with the Committee of the "Young Scientists Support Program" will be held at the Round Hall of the Presidium of the NAS RA at 16:00
