On June 9–12, 2026, the Scientific Center of Zoology and Hydroecology of the NAS RA and Yerevan State University is organizing the 2nd International Conference with the title "Biodiversity, Conservation and Climate Change (TOWARD COP17)" (YSU, 1 Alek Manukyan Street)
2nd INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE "BIODIVERSITY, CONSERVATION AND CLIMATE CHANGE" (Toward COP 17)
The International Conference on Biodiversity, Conservation, and Climate Change (Toward COP17) is jointly organized by the Scientific Center of Zoology and Hydroecology of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia and Yerevan State University. The conference will take place in Yerevan, Armenia, from 09–12 June 2026 and is designed to contribute to the global scientific dialogue in the lead-up to COP17. It aims to foster scientific exchange at the intersection of biodiversity, conservation, and climate change, while supporting evidence-based inputs relevant to international biodiversity and climate policy processes. The conference will actively engage the scientific community in identifying knowledge gaps, research priorities, and practical solutions to biodiversity loss under changing climatic conditions. The event brings together leading international scholars, practitioners, and policy-relevant experts to advance understanding of emerging challenges, innovative research methodologies, and integrative approaches to biodiversity conservation in the context of global climate change.
