Call for applications for the participation at the international conference

“The First World War and the Armenians (History and actual problems)” to be held on October 1-2, 2014 in Yerevan organized by National Academy of Sciences of Republic of Armenia and Yerevan State University

The following topics are among the issues covered by the Conference:

- The Armenian Question and Diplomatic fight during World War I
- The Genocidal Policy of the authorities of the Ottoman Empire
- The participation of the Armenians in the First World War
- The losses of the Armenian people during World War I and problems of the compensation
- The reflection of the World War I and the Armenian Genocide in Armenian and World literature and art
The applications (a short biography of the author, emphasizing his/her workplace, scientific degree and academic rank, scientific publications and list of conferences, electronic address and telephone) and a summary of presentation (not more than 2 pages) for the participation in the conference are accepted by August 1st, 2014 and should be sent to the organizing committee of the conference mararmts@yahoo.com email address.
The languages of the conference and the paper are Armenian (with English summary), Russian (with Armenian summary), and English (with Armenian summary).

The quality and relevance of the applications will be assessed by the Organizing Committee of the Conference.
