Travel Grant Scheme to facilitate the participation of Armenian researchers in Brokerage Events The Grant Scheme
Objectives To financially support the participation of local researchers from Armenia in large-scale Brokerage events and other similar activities related to Horizon2020 in EU/AC countries. Such events provide an excellent arena for researchers to liaise and develop synergies, the participation therefore of researchers from the targeted countries will increase their opportunities to get involved and be taken onboard in consortia set up in EU/AC countries. It will also allow the researchers to make their institutions and/or their research networks better known. The Scheme provides grants to researchers for covering travel and subsistence expenses, visa costs and conference fees, which will be reimbursed. The thematic priorities and events The thematic priorities of the call are the three Societal Challenges: Health, Energy and Climate Change. List of events Please follow these links for the identified events. http://ec.europa.eu/research/index.cfm?pg=events&period=2014&theme=D72D1707-FE0F-3C39-4E55830C194C2E7C http://ec.europa.eu/research/energy/index_en.cfm?pg=news-and-events http://ec.europa.eu/research/environment/index_en.cfm?pg=events http://ec.europa.eu/research/horizon2020/index_en.cfm?pg=h2020-events http://een.ec.europa.eu/tools/services/EVE/Event/ListEvents http://www.interfaceurope.eu/event_themes The list of events is indicative but not exclusive and candidate researchers are free to identify other events of high importance, which will be also considered eligible if duly justified. Preferably Brokerage Events or larger scientific conferences with a brokerage event character should be chosen. Networking possibility is a must and the participation should be justified in every case. Reimbursement An advance payment up to 75% of the budget may be paid to the Grant recipients (covering travel, accommodation and visa) while the remaining costs (per diem) will be reimbursed upon the return of the researcher and the handing of the participation evidence and related documents (Event Participation Report). In order to receive the grant, the selected researchers will have to sign a simple Grant Contract with the NAS RA in which they commit themselves:
to write a Report (2 A4-pages, according to a template to be provided), which has to be delivered within 1 week after the event
to hand in the original invoices (of the flight and the conference fees)
