HISTORICAL-PHILOLOGICAL JOURNAL
Armenological journal of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia was founded in 1958. The constitutive editor-in-chief was academician Mkrtich Nersissyan. After the death of the latter the place was taken by academician Vardges Mikayelyan. Now the editor-in-chief of the journal is corresponding member of NAS RA, doctor of philological sciences Sargis Harutyunyan (since 2006).
Deputy editor-in-chief and the responsible secretary of the journal is doctor of philological sciences Anushavan Zakaryan.
Editorial board consists of the following members: academicians S.Arevshatyan, Hr.Bartikyan, corresponding members of NAS RA A.Kalantaryan, H.Hovhannissyan, doctors of philological sciences A.Dolukhanyan, L.Hovhannissyan, S.Muradyan, A.Yeghiazaryan, doctor of historical sciences P.Chobanyan.
Articles for publication, if needed, are sent to specialists to be reviewed. All the articles that are to be published are finally discussed at the meeting of the editorial board and given to publication. Articles in the journal are published in three languages (Armenian, Russian and English).
In the first years of publication there were 4 issues a year, each having more than 300 of big size printed pages and since 1999 3 issues a year have been published.
Beginning from the current year by the order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia each issue of the journal is being sent to the Ministry by e-mail.
